Jessica Bauer

Upon receiving her BA in Public Communications from the State University of New York at Buffalo, Jessica accepted a position with the United States Army marketing team for the department of Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) in Tacoma, Washington. She spent three years writing articles for publication in the Tacoma News Tribune and designing posters, flyers, advertisements and billboards for MWR. In 1996, Jessica moved with her husband and daughter to Heidelberg, Germany spending the next three years traveling throughout Europe, ultimately visiting 13 countries. After returning to the United States and the birth of her son, Jessica decided to change professions and matriculated in the George Washington University masters in Interior Design. In 2005 she graduated, was hired by a leading design firm in Rockville, MD and spent 3.5 years designing award winning luxury amenity spaces in condominiums and apartment buildings throughout the Washington DC area.

Jessica holds an NCIDQ certificate, and is a LEED-AP. She is a member of ASID and is a licensed Interior Designer in Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey and New York.

Maria Santana-Stage

Born in the Philippines, “Malou” as known by her colleagues, received her BFA in Interior Design from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila where she won numerous design competitions during the course of her education. She briefly worked in a small design firm in Hong Kong after graduating where she had a hand in space planning and developing design concepts of restaurants and retail spaces.  Malou moved back to the Philippines in 1997 to work for Steven J. Leach + Associates, a renowned interior design firm with branches in East Asia where she earned one of the lead designer positions. Her responsibilities focused on interior design concepts and custom furniture design of golf clubhouses, high-end residential, corporate, and hotel spaces. Malou moved to the United States in 1999 when she accepted a job sponsorship as a furniture detailer for a case-good manufacturing firm in Oakland, CA. Realizing that interior design was still her passion, she decided to explore opportunities both on the east and west coast and landed a position at award winning design firms in Baltimore and Rockville, MD as well as Williams+Paddon Architects in Sacramento and BAMO in San Francisco, CA. She moved back to Maryland in 2007 after accepting the position as Design Director for a leading design firm.

Malou holds an NCIDQ certificate, is a licensed interior designer in Maryland, The District of Columbia and California and is a LEED-AP.
